The following are 10 essentials to a man’s wardrobe and will basically provide a multitude of outfits. If I were rework my entire wardrobe from scratch, this is what I would get
1. White/Grey/Navy/black Crew Neck Shirt (depending on season and weather)
2. Charcoal or Navy two piece suit
3. White standard collar dress shirt (Brooks Brothers) [1]
4. Pale blue button down shirt (TM Lewin) [2]
5. Raw denim jeans (Red Cotton Denim) [3]
6. Chinos/Khakis. Chinos are a closer cut with a lighter fabric while khakis are heavier and have a harsher drop when hitting your shoe. I’ve had a pair of tailored Alpha Slim Fit Chinos from “Dockers” for 3 years and they’re still going strong. Not expensive, but great quality
7. Black Oxford Leather Shoes for formal occasions (Paul Evans) [4]
8. Tanned Derby Leather Shoe for business & smart casual (Allen Edmonds)[5] . If you’re more casual then Penny Loafers also from (Allen Edmonds) [6]
9. Matching leather belts with shoes
10. Ties. Ties are a maybe because many corporations are decreasing the formality of their dress-codes. You see it in many startup companies and tech companies (Apple & Microsoft)
